A free barcode maker that works in your browser

Barcodely is a free, online barcode generator. There's no account, no watermark, and nothing you type leaves your device — each tool encodes your value into a barcode image entirely in the browser, then lets you download it as a vector SVG for print or a PNG for the web. Whether you're labeling Amazon FBA inventory, printing price tags for a shop, tagging warehouse stock, or marking shipping cartons, pick the symbology you need and generate a scannable code in seconds.

Which barcode type should I use?

For retail products in North America, use the UPC barcode generator (UPC-A, 12 digits). For international retail, the EAN-13 barcode generator is the 13-digit standard, and the EAN-8 barcode generator handles small packages that can't fit a full EAN-13. To encode arbitrary text, SKUs, or serial numbers, the Code 128 barcode generator is the dense logistics workhorse, while the Code 39 barcode generator is the rugged alphanumeric code read by virtually every scanner. For shipping cartons and cases, the ITF-14 barcode generator encodes the 14-digit GTIN.

Are these barcodes really scannable?

Yes. Barcodely uses a standards-compliant barcode-encoding engine, so the output reads on retail scanners and phone barcode apps. For the cleanest scan, download the SVG and print at high resolution, keep the blank "quiet zone" margins on either side, and don't stretch the image out of proportion.
